Welcome to Funkbuddy. This site is similar to a tattoo. I got it and and it's still there. I originally acquired this site to promote a band named "Funk Buddy". The band disbanded early in the life of the funkbuddy.com site but I had paid hosting fees in advance. So I nurtured the site along and tried to re-purpose it.
The name of the band and the site was inspired by the Funk Brothers, the studio recording artists that played on many of the Mowtown recordings. Many people think the name refers to a sexual playmate. This is a mistake. If that is what your looking for you'll be disappointed by this site. No Porn here.
After the Funk Buddy Band project ended I had to find a new use for funkbuddy.com. At first I used it to document pickup gigs that I played on. Then I used funkbuddy.com to promote web development services that I provide in my community.
Recently I've decided to abandon finding a well defined purpose or any specific utility for funkbuddy.com. I'm going to use it for testing new ideas, as a contact point for my music and other activities, and as a medium for communicating with the universe whatever inspiration comes to me.
By the was, I'm pretty sure, based on my site stats that nobody is paying much attention to this site anyway. Even when my site gets a hit the user probably move on after a few seconds; hardly enough time to read down this far.
